The PA requirements for graduation as a registered homeschooler are different than those of a student attending a public or private school. They are significantly less. You are welcome to add enriching electives to your student's yearly curriculum. However, these are not required and are at the sole discretion of the parent.
Below is a high school checklist that the Pennsylvania Homeschoolers Accreditation Agency uses. The association is recommending that parents of (at least) high schoolers enroll in this organization as students who graduate through PHAA will receive an accredited PA diploma. An accredited diploma through PHAA is viewed the same as a diploma from any PA public school. They will also facilitate yearly portfolio evaluations and send transcripts to colleges, etc. at your request. PHAA has specific guidelines for granting diplomas. Please scroll to the bottom of this page to learn more about these requirements.
