Wellspring Academy will be offering an in-person Math Class for 12th graders up to the Pre-Calculus level. Assignments will be given for at-home work. For the best result for their student, parents are encouraged to have their student finish the assignment before the next hybrid school day. If your student completed Pre-Calculus in 11th grade, you will need to seek higher math options through an outside source.

Wellspring Academy will be offering an in-person History and Geography Class for 12th graders. Eleventh Grade will combine with Twelfth Grade and alternate McGraw-Hill Curriculum every other year. Assignments will be given for at-home work. For the best result for their student, parents are encouraged to have their student finish the assignment before the next hybrid school day. Please note that if your student is completing the PHAA-accredited diploma, you must also be able to document a total of 1/2 credit of PA history in grades 7-12 (not 1/2 credit per year, 1/2 credit total).

Teachers will grade quizzes and tests and then will send these home for the parents to keep for use in the year-end portfolio. Please see the tab concerning the year-end portfolio for more details.
Under the PA homeschool law, students must complete two years of humanities courses. These courses may be completed in the same year (for example: Spanish I and Drama). This may include foreign languages but is not limited to that. It may also include drama, art history, Bible, philosophy, etc. There are many homeschool resources that meet this requirement. IF your student has already completed 9th grade at LCA, he/she has already met these humanities requirements. You just have to document it.
Under the PA homeschool law, electives are not required. These classes may be used to enrich the education of the individual student and are at the sole discretion of the parent. The Elective Ideas and Sources page may serve as a guide to get you started.
PA does not have a specific requirement for this. You may fulfill this requirement by gathering together with other families at the church gymnasium after hybrid school or through the church-sponsored soccer and basketball programs. This can be supplemented by at home arts and crafts time, youtube drawing and painting videos, painting pottery as an activity, etc. You just have to document it. Parents should verify that their students receive safety instruction including fire safety and the dangers of drugs/smoking (these topics are state required). Please note that if your student is completing the PHAA-accredited diploma program, you must also be able to document a total of 1/2 credit of Safety Instruction in grades 7-12 (not 1/2 credit per year, 1/2 credit total).
