The hybrid school association will be providing in-person instruction, but will not be providing the curriculum. The parents will need to make a few curriculum purchases themselves.

Wellspring Academy will be providing an in-person Math Class for 1st graders and will be taught by Mrs. Cooper. This class will be using the curriculum ABeka's Arithmetic 1. Assignments will be given for at-home work. Questions from at-home work will be answered on the next hybrid school day.
Wellspring Academy will be providing an in-person Science Class for 1st graders and will be taught by Mrs. Cooper. This class will be using ABeka's Enjoying God's World and Health Safety and Manners. Wellspring Academy will be providing an in-person History Class for 1st graders and will be taught by Mrs. Cooper. The curriculum is a 2-year rotation completed in tandem with 2nd Grade. Students will be given instruction using My America and My World, Community Helpers, Map Skills for Today book1, This is My House, and The Federal Government one year. During the following year, they will complete Our America, Map Skills for Today book 2, and This is My House. Assignments may be given for at-home work. Questions from at-home work will be answered on the next hybrid school day.
Wellspring Academy will be providing an in-person Language/Phonics/Spelling Class for 1st graders and will be taught by Mrs. Cooper. This class will be using using ABeka's Language 1, Letters and Sounds 1, and Spelling & Poetry 1. In-person Handwriting/Reading Class will be provided. Students will be given handwriting instruction using ABeka's Writing with Phonics 1. Reading instruction will be given via ABeka readers and reading aloud exercises. Assignments will be given for at-home work. Questions from at-home work will be answered on the next hybrid school day.
Teachers will grade quizzes and tests and then will send these home for the parents to keep for use in the year-end portfolio. Please see the tab concerning the year-end portfolio for more details.
Reading instruction will be a part of hybrid instruction. However, various outside reading homework will be assigned by the teacher to be completed at home. You just have to document it.
PA does not have a specific requirement for this. You may fulfill this requirement by gathering together with other families at the church gymnasium after hybrid school or through the church-sponsored soccer and basketball programs. You just have to document it.
PA does not have a specific requirement for this. This may be completed via music lessons your child already takes. You can also choose from a variety of homeschool curriculum. You just have to document it.
PA does not have a specific requirement for this. Parents may organize field trips on Fridays to art museums, child appropriate theater shows/ballets, etc to fulfill this requirement. This can be supplemented by at home arts and crafts time, youtube drawing and painting videos, painting pottery as an activity, etc. You just have to document it.
Parents should verify that their students receive safety instruction including fire safetyand the dangers of drugs/smoking (these topics are state required). Much of this is covered in the Abeka Science and Health materials.
