Wellspring Academy will be providing an in-person Math Class for 3rd graders.  This class will be using ABeka's Arithmetic 3. Assignments will be given for at-home work. Questions from at-home work will be answered on the next hybrid school day. 

Wellspring Academy will be providing an in-person Science Class for 3rd graders.  This class will be using ABeka's Exploring God's World Science and Health. Assignments will be given for at-home work. Questions from at-home work will be answered on the next hybrid school day. 

Wellspring Academy will be providing an in-person History Class for 3rd graders using Notgrass History. This will be a combined class with 4th grade. Textbooks will be available to be borrowed through the Co-Op. Student workbooks will need to be purchased through the Notgrass History website. Wellspring Academy will be providing an in-person Language Class for 3rd graders and will be taught by.  This class will be using BJU Press English 3. This class will include instruction/grading in writing book reports. Assignments will be given for at-home work. Questions from at-home work will be answered on the next hybrid school day. 

There are several Spelling options that parents may choose from to use at home. These include: Abeka Spelling, BJU Press Spelling, Wordly Wise, and many others. Please select a curriculum that will work for your student, as Spelling is a PA state-required subject for third graders.

There are many different reading curricula available to homeschooled students. These include Abeka, BJU Press, etc. The Notgrass curriculum that your student will use for history has a companion reading curriculum that pairs well. However, PA does not outline the requirements of the reading subject. Reading curriculum is the decision of the parent. You just have to document it. 

PA does not have a specific requirement for this. You may fulfill this requirement by gathering together with other families at the church gymnasium after hybrid school or through the church-sponsored soccer and basketball programs. You just have to document it. 

PA does not have a specific requirement for this. This may be completed via music lessons your child already takes. You can also choose from homeschool curriculum. You just have to document it. 

PA does not have a specific requirement for this. Parents may organize field trips on Fridays to art museums, child appropriate theater shows/ballets, etc to fulfill this requirement. This can be supplemented by at home arts and crafts time, youtube drawing and painting videos, painting pottery as an activity, etc.. You just have to document it. 

Parents should verify that their students receive safety instruction including fire safety and the dangers of drugs/smoking (these topics are state required). Much of this is covered in the Abeka Science and Health materials.
